Psalms 18:1-2 NLT I love you, Lord ; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I know God that I live way too much in my strength.  I make my list, set my agenda, use my gifts, and my resources.  All the while the Holy Spirit who you have given me to be my companion and guide like a gentlemen gets out of my way and lets me live and do as I please.  How stupid is that, that I have the power given to me by you God All Mighty to help me live and I choose to live on my own.  Forgive me Father, I really do want to live for you and make you my strength.  David, a gifted and strong man, relied on the Lord to be his strength, if I don't how arrogant is that.  In America we live in our own independent lives, fitting God in on Sundays to help us deal with our guilt.  God I want to be dependent on you.  I want to be thankful for all you have given me. 

This upcoming season, we will be using this series and we will call it Rebel, since like Ole Miss, we are also Rebels.  It shows the brilliance of Hugh Freeze offense.  Tempo and choices to take what the defense is giving you is almost unstoppable.

I am attempting a daunting task for the 2013 season.  Marry the Double Wing Offense with the the Gus Mazhaln and Hugh Freeze style of offense.  They are not that far apart in design since they are both Wing T based and built around gap schemes.  No more Zone for me.  Power, Counter, Buck, Trap, and Fly will be my base runs.  I will work to keep it simple for the linemen and create advantage using motion and formation.

Pleasing everybody is just a dream - pick the most important people in your life and work on pleasing them

We have it all wrong in the church.  When Christ got done teaching on the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew must have left out the part where He did the alter call and have the disciples say a prayer with each of them who came forward, have them fill out commitment cards, and give them a packet to get them started.  Forgive my sarcasm, but just saying a prayer at the front of the church is not salvation.  Don't get me wrong, none of that is bad in of itself, but are we honest with the people who come forward?  Are we preaching like John the Baptist a gospel of repentance?  Are we telling people that Christ wants all of there life?  That He is not looking to just be something people add to what they are already doing, but that He wants to Lord of their life?  Do we explain that yes Justification comes by faith alone, it can not be done by works, and that Jesus paid the ultimate price and is the only way to heaven? not   But after justification comes sanctification and regeneration. It has been a while since I have updated my blog. A lot has changed since then. I am at a new school, Obion County Central. A new state, Tennessee. Living a new city, Union City, TN. Going to a new church, Union City First Assembly of God. And I have started doing something I should have done a long time ago, since I have felt the call for several years. I am working on my ministry credentials online through Global University's Berean School of the Bible. That is a lot of new.  I believe that as Christian's "we should be on mission from God". I also believe that that mission changes depending on what stage in life we are at. My new journey is Global University and making up for some lost or wasted time. As part of this journey, you have to a service part of it, so that it is not just book learning. One of the options is to blog. When I saw that, I felt led to recommit to doing my blog.
