We Should Listen to Jesus Brother!

Good Morning,

I am going to finish the week with one more devotional from Jude. Watch the news and then go read Jude. If he were alive today they probably would not invite him to be a guest on "The View". CNN might label him a radical conservative and accuse him of being intolerant. What he was, was a bold follower of Christ who did not have a filter and called it like it was. I want to meet him when I get to Heaven.

Jude 1:16-25

16 These people are discontented grumblers, walking according to their desires; their mouths utter arrogant words, flattering people for their own advantage. 17 But you, dear friends, remember what was predicted by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 they told you, “In the end time there will be scoffers walking according to their own ungodly desires.” 19 These people create divisions and are unbelievers, not having the Spirit. 20 But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, expecting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life. 22 Have mercy on those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them from the fire; have mercy on others but with fear, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. 24 Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless and with great joy, 25to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority before all time, now and forever. Amen.

We have two choices We can walk in the Spirit or walk in the flesh. Don't expect the world to act any differently, they do not have the Spirit. On the other hand as Christians, we don't really have an excuse. We have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. We should act differently because we are being led by the Spirit. Look at the Verbs that Jude uses here :

1. Keep -- yourself in the Love of God.
2. Expect -- Mercy, without we are no better off than the Sinner headed to Hell
3. Have Mercy -- Since when is it ok to receive mercy and not give it to others.
4. hating -- the sin of the flesh And do it all in Him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you to stand in the presence of HIS glory.

My exhortation to you today is to choose to walk in the Spirit and deny the flesh. Choose the right way not just the way that makes your flesh feel good. I am preaching to myself, as Paul said, put me in front of the line on that one. I am going to work on walking in the Spirit today and not the flesh.

Humbly His,
